Life is going well! Carter is doing great and continually growing. He's done such a good job of going up to the office with mommy a couple of times a week. He passes out in the car and just sleeps in his car seat pretty much the whole time I'm up at the office doing a few things.
We got all of our Christmas stuff up and presents under the tree. I actually already FINISHED all my Christmas shopping!! WOOHOO! Most of it was done online...ahh the life of having a newborn.
Its funny the little things you realize are much harder after you have a baby. The biggest thing for me, is I'll be out heading to the office around lunch time and I decide to grab something on the way. Ohh wait, I can only go through the drive through somewhere because its too much of an effort to get him out of the car and go in and order and then get him back in the car. Unfortunately, that limits my options to mostly unhealthy fast food. Booo! He's gone on a few quick trips with me to the store. The first time I got him out and put the car seat in the stroller and everything, but quickly realized, where am I going to put all the stuff I'm shopping for? I can't push his stroller and a cart. So I loaded up under his stoller and stuff and on the handle bars. (yah never doing that again!!!!) Since then, I've decided the easiest thing is to get him out and put him in a sling carrier I have! That way I'm hands free and he usually passes out once he's in there!
Anyways, life is going well and we are counting down the days til Christmas!! We are ready for daddy to have a week off and be with us and we're ready to head up to Dallas to spend the holidays with both of our families!
Also pray for us today as Kevin leaves to go out to town to Iowa for work for 2 nights! He doesn't get back til late Wednesday, so its just me and Carter!!
