Weekend

This past weekend was WONDERFUL!

On Friday night Kevin, Sarah, and I went and saw Hunger Games at Alamo Drafthouse. So a little background. I'm not into Twilight, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc. Honestly I don't want to read them or see the movies because of the obnoxious hype they've gotten over the years. So I was starting to feel that way about Hunger Games. Didn't want to read it. Well somehow Kevin decided he wanted to read and he LOVED it! He kept bugging me to read it and I kept saying no. I told him I'd go see the movie with him though. But he told me I wasn't allowed to see the movie if I hadn't read the books. So finally one weekend  I started reading them and honestly they were pretty good. Although Kevin and I both didn't like the ending for many reasons; even though we seem to be in the minority on that. (At least we both feel the same though!) So Kevin has been counting down the days til he got to see Hunger Games! Friday night came and we had a great time. We arrived about 2 hours early and of course got stuck in a line that was outside. BOO it was hot! Once inside though Kevin decide he wanted to try their "HUNGER GAMES" special and get the Katniss Lamb & Plum Stew! He LOVED it! Ate every bit of it. Great time!

On Saturday I had an Arbonne Training in the morning and then Kevin and I went on a wild goose chase to find us a new headboard for out new king size bed!!

I was really wanting some sort of fabric upholstered head board, but couldn't find anywhere that really carried them. And Kevin was super nervous to order one online. But alas, our last stop was Basset Furniture and once inside we saw they have and entire fabric section where you can pick out your own fabric for pretty much any furniture piece you want. AND they were having a 30% off sale! We took a couple of samples home and decided on one and went back Sunday and purchased it! It'll be ready in about 30 days.

After that Kevin and I went home and napped as we both had headaches! Then we  spent the rest of the evening just laying around. It was wonderful.

On Sunday got up and worked at church til about 1pm. Went and bought our headboard and then had lunch at McAlisters.

Then we went home and I napped while Kevin did some work. We watched a little TV, had some dinner, went for a walk, and finished the night watching some TV in bed!!

GREAT weekend!!

Whats been going on...

Feel like I haven't blogged in forever! There hasn't been much to blog about, so I guess thats why I havent!

Kevin's been busy with work, which he LOVES!! Every day he talks about how it isn't fair he gets to do what he does everyday! Good thing, huh?

Works been good with me too!  Real estate has picked up quick a bit since the holidays!

Last weekend, we even went up to Dallas and helped Kevin's sister, Heather find a house to buy! We have 1 agent up in Dallas under our company, so she got us into the houses and into their MLS system. Then I took over once we found a house and dealt with all the negotiations! And we finally can do an agreement this week on the one she was interested in!! WOOHOO!! So that was exciting!

Yesterday, one of my besties, KATIE, came into town! She's in town for SXSW for work! She works for TOUT, its an app where you can film short videos and post them! Pretty cool! Anyways, she's staying with us for the week and I'm sooo excited! She now lives in San Francisco so I don't get to see her very often! So I'm really glad to get to spend some time with her this week!

This week is spring break for pretty much all my family as they are all educators! My parents are on a 7 day cruise (SO JEALOUS) so its been weird not talking to them all week! Any one of my besties Sarah is in Italy this week with her family (SO JEALOUS), so its sucked she's been gone as well!!

Man, I wish I still had a spring break!

Texas Independence Day!

Happy Texas Independence Day!!!

I'm soo proud to be a Texan and this is a great day to celebrate our history!! On this day in 1836, we declared our independence from Mexico!
