I feel like I never blog about anything interesting anymore. Life is good, just same old same old though! So I feel like there is nothing to really blog about! But here are some pictures from my iphone recently...

The Gospel of Mark: The Trinity

So last week we started a new series at church where we are going through the book of Mark. This week we were in Mark 1:9-11:

In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”

(Mark 1:9-11 ESV)

I was amazed at where this sermon went and how it is so much more than I would have imagined just reading these verses. The sermon was about the Trinity and how our relationships with people should look like the relationship between The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. It especially hit home to me in regards to marriage. Take the time to watch this, I promise you won't regret it!

Weekend in Dallas

So this past weekend, Kevin and I took off Friday and Monday and went up to Dallas to spend some quality time with family! On Friday Kevin and my dad played golf while I spent some time with my grandmother! That night Kevin's brother, Chase, flew in and we spent some time over at his sisters' place playing games!

On Saturday we got up BRIGHT & EARLY and headed to the State Fair of Texas for the TX/OU Game. We were soo excited to get some fried food! On Saturday we had fried butter ( STILL one of my FAVORITES), Fried Buffalo chicken in a flapjack, fried smores ( LOVE), Fried Cheesecake

Fried Buffalo Chicken in A Flapjack!

The game unfortunately didn't go too well for us, but enough about that! Afterwards we picked up Chase and headed back to my parent's house to watch some Auburn Football. Let's just say it wasn't a great football day for Kevin and I!

On Sunday we woke up and Kevin's dad flew into town! All of then Harwoods then headed down to the Fair again! Chase and Kevin's dad had never been to the fair, so we took them to show them how we do it in Texas ;)! On Sunday we had Fried Bacon, Fried Pepperoni Pizza, Fried Oreos, Fried Snickers, Fried Buffalo chicken in a flapjack, Fried Cheese Sandwhich (which came with a side of tomato soup and chips, REALLY GOOD), Fried Smores Poptarts, Fried Cheesecake, and Fried Bubblegum (interesting!) We walked around and had a great time and 4 of us even went on the Ferris Wheel. It was raining off and on at the fair, but we can prepared so it was a good time and not too crowded!

That evening we went and had some Texas BBQ and then played games that night! And let me tell you, it is alway entertainment when playing games with the Harwood Family! Never a dull moment, that is for sure!

On Sunday we went and checked out Heather's new school in Irving, Lady Bird Johnson Middle School. It is a net zero school, very cool! We then headed down to my parents ranch for lunch and then Kevin and i headed back to Austin!

It was a fun weekend!

For The City Center

It has been a year since our church opened the "For the City Center." We also use this campus as another venue for service on Sundays and it is where Kevin and I serve on Sundays! See what has happened in the last year here.
