CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS

WOW...so just got back into Austin last night after a week of traveling for the holidays! On Saturday the 20th, Kevin and I headed to Dallas to spend time with my family for the holidays. We hung out up there and then left for Birmingham the morning of the 23rd! On the 24th we had Christmas when Kevin's mom's side of the family and that night Christmas with his dad's mother and grandmother. We also went to two different Christmas Eve services there and I met sooooooo many people!

Then Christmas morning came and we had a great time with Kevin's family. THE BEST PRESENT I RECEIVED was from Kevin. It was the last present I opened...and it was a picture fame filled with pictures of our engagement. Apparently Kevin had someone up there taking pictures of us when he asked me to marry him. I couldn't believe it!!! I cried...the pictures were wonderful and it was sooo neat to have them captured in photographs!!! Here are a few!

Then my birthday came, and Kevin woke up early at his dad's and made me chocolate chip pancakes!! They were amazing!!! We spent the rest of the day doing some fun stuff. Then saturday night we flew back to Dallas, after a 2 hour delay on our flight. Got back in really late to Dallas, and then spent some time with my family on Sunday before we headed back to Austin.

AND TODAY is KEVIN'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday LOVE!!!

Tacky Christmas Sweater Party

So last Friday, my friend Shelby had a Tacky Christmas Sweater Party. All week I was trying to figure out what to wear. I look at goodwill and salvation army...and was coming up with NOTHING! Then I decided I might make something for Kevin and I to wear. I'm not that creative, so I knew whatever it was would be tacky! So after much searching at Hobby Lobby....here's what I came up:

I'm ENGAGED!!!!!!

So Saturday night Kevin asked me to MARRY HIM!!! Short version of the story, is we went to Mount Bonnell, one of our favorite places in Austin to "watch the sunset" as we have done a few other times. But this time, we sat there for a bit and then he told me to look at something...i didn't know what he was talking about. But before I knew it he was getting on his knee and trying to get the ring box outta his pocket. He asked me to marry him and across the lake was this HUGE sign that he had made that said "Will you marry me?" on it. It was amazing, and of course I said yes!!! Afterwards we went down where the sign was a took some pictures and then went and celebrated at Ruth Chris Steakhouse! It was an AMAZING NIGHT!!!! Here are some pictures to share!! No date for sure yet...but we'll let ya know soon!!! :) YAY!!!!

Busy times! But loving the holiday season!

I love the holidays!!! Especially the Christmas Season! Looking forward over the next two weeks, we have lots of parties and Christmas stuff to do!! Last weekend, Kevin and I knocked out a bunch of shopping Saturday morning before we headed downtown to help out with Coats for Kids. We only have a handful of stuff left to buy for Christmas!! Coats for Kids was a great experience. We went and helped families with their kids pick out coats for them. It was also really tiring. Kevin was even about to pass out when we were about done! But it was neat to help out those kids! Saturday night we went to Salt Lick again for one of Kevin's friend's birthday! We had a good time there!

These last three weeks Kevin's been SUPER busy with work! He has a big marketing presentation he has been working on. So he's been staying up late at work. He worked til about 12:30 am one night last week and worked pretty much all day Sunday. And he'll be working late every night this week until his presentation on Thursday! So wish him luck!!! He'll be sooo happy to get that over with so he can have a life again.

Todays my last night of not really having anything...then it seems like i have something going on every night until we leave for Christmas. But yay for the holidays!!!

Week in Review

First of all, OU SUCKS! Seriously I'm really upset that they get to go to the Big 12 Championship even though we beat them 45-35 on a Neutral Field! I wont rant off like I have been lately...but all I have to say is...GO MIZZOU!!!!!!

Well had a good Thanksgiving Break mostly. We had Thanksgiving at Kevin's house and my parents came down to eat with us as well. It was GREAT! Then after that we headed down to DKR Memorial Stadium for the TX/A&M Game....and boy did we beat the hell outta them!!! 49-9!! WHOOHOO! Biggest margin of victory against them since like the 1800s. FABULOUS!

Then Friday we woke up early and rode back to Dallas with my parents. We went the long scenic route though, west of I35. We went through Commanche and my parents stopped at a winery and picked up some bottles. Then we went to Dublin, Texas so Kevin could get some Dublin Dr. Pepper, which he loves so much. We went to the factory and he got a Dr. Pepper Frosty and he was in LOVE!! After that we went up to The Retreat where my parents have bought a lot to someday build a house on when they retire. It is a private golf course community. We ate lunch at the clubhouse and then checked out their lot. And finally after that we stopped by my parents ranch and then made our way back up to to Dallas. It was a long 9 hour day back up to Dallas, but it was fun!!

That night Kevin and I went and saw Four Christmases and it was really good! Saturday wasn't the greatest day for any of us. First Auburn lost, then Baylor last minute lost which if they had won, we would have gone to the Big 12 Championship. And the freakin OU beat OSU my alot...even though most of the game it was super close. And Sunday we saw the verdict that OU will be going to the Big 12 Championship Game. BOOO!

But yesterday was fun because Kevin and I decorated his house for Christmas!!! We decorated the tree and had hot chocolate and cookies. We even put on Christmas music! It was good times...i'm soo excited because it looks GREAT!!!

YAY!!! One of my best friends, Nicole, got engaged last night to Adrian!!!! They've been dating for like 7 years...since her senior year in high school!! I'm sooo excited for them!!!!
