White Christmas!

Sorry for being behind...

Man, we had an eventful holiday season!!!! We left for Alabama on the 19th and stayed until the 22nd. We then were in Dallas from the 22nd-27th. We had a great time with all of our family, but it was nice to finally be home on the 27th!!

In Dallas it snowed on Christmas Eve and gave us a beautiful white Christmas! We were very excited!!!!

New Years was fun; we had a little get together at house with some friends! A great way to ring in the new year!!!!

December 13th

So a year ago today, we got engaged!!!!! It was the most magical night and ranks as the 2nd best day of our lives, obviously the 1st is our WEDDING DAY! It has been fun today to reminisce about this day last year!!! Here are some pics to remember that wonderful day!!!

A Tribute to 2005....

This still give me chills and makes me cry!!! This also reminds me of another time people said Texas had no shot at the National Championship and guess what happened, we WON!!! I'm so ready to prove everyone wrong!! :)

Headed to Pasadena

So my whole family went to the Big 12 Championship game last Saturday! Let's just say I was nervous before the game...I just had a feeling it wasn't going to go right. So needless to say I was in a pretty bad mood the whole game...When we finally won in the last second all I could do was cry!! Thank goodness I didn't have to cancel my trip to Pasadena....thank goodness I could go and watch Texas win a National Championship!! I didn't get to go in 2005 and so I HAD to go this year! I've seen Texas Baseball win a National Championship in person, so now it's time for me to see a Texas Football Championship!!

This next month should be interesting! All of Kevin's family are Alabama fans. So I'm sure I'll be hearing all kinds of trash talk! But I'm just going to let the players do the talking on the field January 7th! Hook 'em Horns!!!

Christmas at the Harwoods!!!

So we decorated the house finally for Christmas!! I love this time of the year! Kevin put the lights outside the house too, i'll have to get pictures of that soon as well!! We drank hot chocolate on Sunday and decorated the house and the tree!! We are starting to just watch TV downstairs at night to enjoy the tree and lights instead of watching up in the loft!

Alabama for Thanksgiving

So last week we went to Alabama for Thanksgving! We had a good time with Kevin's family and then we went down to Auburn to watch the Auburn/Alabama game! (The Iron Bowl) I haven't been to Auburn before, so it was nice to see where Kevin went to school and to attend my first Aurburn football game! We had a good time while there, although it was a heartbreaking game for Auburn!! They played sooo well but then ended up loosing!! Ohh well, I guess until next year...

USS Lexington

On Sunday in Corpus Christi we decided to do something touristy before we left town. So I looked into a few things and we decided to go and tour the USS Lexington. I knew Kevin would love this and he did! We have fun touring the ship and learning about it all!! Here are a few pics!

Nicole & Adrian's Wedding!

So this past weekend, Kevin and I went to Nicole and Adrian's wedding in Corpus Christi/Sinton! Nicole has been one of my best friends since sophomore year in college!! And her and Adrian have been together for like 8 years, so we were excited to finally see them get married!! Everything was gorgeous!! Enjoy a few pics!

Kelly Clarkson Concert

Last night Kevin and I went to the Kelly Clarkson concert!!! Isn't he wonderful for going with me! I didn't even asked, he just said he wanted to!!! Love him! Anyways we both had a fabulous time!! This like my 5 or 6 Kelly concert!! :) YAY! She's always AMAZING! Enjoy pics and video!!

Nicole's Showers/Bachelorette Party

The last two weekends have been dedicated to Nicole!! On the 24th we had her bridal shower at my house and it went great!!! Then this past weekend we had her bachelorette party!!! Enjoy the pics!!

TX/OU WEEKEND

Well we went to Dallas this past week for the BIG TX/OU GAME!!! This was Kevin's first TX/OU game and his first time to the State Fair of Texas. We had a lot of fun, especially since Texas pulled off the win! It was ugly, but it was a WIN!!! :)

We also had fun at the fair eating!! :) We had fried bacon, fried butter (SOOO GOOD), belgium waffles with powered sugar and whipped cream, yummy frozen drinks, nachos, and fried SMORES!! :) If we had time, we probably would have gotten more!! Kevin wants to come back sometime when its not so crowded and hang out at the fair longer! But we had a great weekend!!

GUMMY VITAMINS

Ok so last week I decided I needed to go buy vitamins for Kevin and I to start taking. I went to the grocery store looking over all my options trying to find the best ones. Then I stumbled upon GUMMY VITAMINS!!! It said Complete Adult Multivitamins. I was soooo excited about it. I bought two different kinds, one that is a regular fruit assortment and the other is sour gummies. Kevin and I tried them and OMG they are sooo good!! They taste just like fruit snacks and the sour ones taste like sour patch kids. Anyways....I just thought this was a genius idea and I'll probably take vitamins more because of it!! Just wanted to share!! :)

SURVIVOR!!!! :)

Today is the Premiere of SURVIVOR 19: Samoa. I have watched every season of Survivor since it originally aired back in 2000. It was the one show my dad and I watched together while I was in high school. Once I went off to college, I had to convince other friends along the way to watch each season with me. But, I will still call my dad the next day and discuss it with him!

I knew Kevin would love Survivor, so I finally convinced him two seasons ago to give it a chance. He of course, LOVES IT! Last year we did a draft with players and in the end Kevin had the winner, so I owe him a round of golf!!

This season, we convinced our friends Sarah and Carlton to watch it with us! So every thursday night we are going to have TACO night and watch SURVIVOR!!! I'm super excited!!

Welcome to our blog!

Welcome to our blog! We have finally gotten around to putting it together. Hopefully we'll keep it up to date with whats going on in our lives.

We were married on August 8th, 2009 in Austin, Texas. Our wedding was beautiful, and we were so happy to have so many family and friends join us for our special day. You can see wedding pictures here!

The next day we left to go to Jamaica for 8 days. It was amazing. We had a butler suite with two butlers that were there to get us whatever we wanted whenever we wanted!

Things have been busy around the house. We got back from the honeymoon with boxes and boxes of stuff, and its taken us a few weeks to get all the boxes broken down and the trash taken out.

And it was a good start for Auburn and Texas! Both started out 1-0!

MOVING MOVING....CLEANING CLEANING

Well July came and went! It really flew by, but i'm glad it did because that means August is here and its time for me to get MARRIED!!!!!

But before the wedding we had to do alot of MOVING and CLEANING. My apartment is letting me prorate August instead of paying the full month, which meant I needed to move all my stuff to Kevin's before the wedding. So over the past couple of weeks we have been take a car load or so of stuff to Kevin's every day.

Then last Saturday the movers came and moved all my FURNITURE!! After an exhausting weekend of moving and unpacking and putting stuff up...I'm finally MOVED IN! Minus a bag of stuff for me to have this week while I sleep on an airmatress at my apartment!

So with moving, we've been doing alot of cleaning too, especially with all our family and friends coming in this week! Tonight we're cleaning up my pretty much empty apartment...that should be fun!!! :/

Anyways I'm really excited about how everything turned out and really excited about finally getting to move in with Kevin!!!

Ashley's Wedding

Well I got back yesterday from a busy week in DALLAS!! My little sister got married Saturday! Can't believe it! It was a beautiful ceremony and fun reception! Ashley looked gorgeous and I even teared up a bit when she walked down the aisle! Now her and Patrick are off to Bahamas for their honeymoon! Congrats to them!! Here are a few pics!

UT Baseball

Ohhh how I love UT Baseball!!! Kevin and I watched the Super Regional game against TCU yesterday on TV and I was sooo proud of my horns!! So today we got tickets from my friend and went to the game.... and maybe I'm bad luck now :( ! We lost!! Ohhh well we have game three tomorrow night...GO HORNS!! If we win, we'll be back in OMAHA for the College World Series. I'm gonna be sad though, because I wont get to make this trip like I did the last two times we were there! But I will be cheering them on from my couch! If you have never been to OMAHA, you need to make that trip sometime. It's amazing!! The last two times I was there was for the National Championship. The first time we lost, the in 2005 we WON it all....and let me just tell you that was pretty amazing to be there to watch it! So anyways, everyone watch the horns tomorrow night beat those horn frogs from TCU!!! HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!

Another Busy, but FUN weekend....

So another BUSY, but fun weekend has past!! Kevin's sisters came in last Thursday and on Friday we all went to see RENT!! Let's just say Kevin didn't enjoy it as much as the rest of us!! Oh well :(

Saturday I had my shower here in Austin!! My bridesmaids put it on and I had a great time! Despite the HORRIBLE rain! It was good to see everyone and Kevin's super excited about all the gifts. He's mad at me because I wont let him use anything until after we are married! Here is a picture with me and the bridesmaids, minus 3 would couldn't make it!

Then on Sunday I headed with Heather and Holly up to Dallas. Monday I spent the day helping them find an apartment, and I think we found the cutest one!! They are super excited about it! So now both of them have jobs and an apartment in Irving!!! Bringing the Harwood Family to Texas little by little!! :)

Weekend Fun in Alabama!

Got back Monday after a BUSY, but AWESOME weekend in Alabama! The worst part was the 4:15AM wake up call last Friday to catch our flight! BRUTAL! But we got into Birmingham Friday morning and Kevin immediately went to the golf course with some of his buddies, while I had a girl's day with Kevin's sisters! We had alot of fun! That night we had a shower with all of Kevin's family friends. It was really nice!! Everyone was so sweet and I can tell how much they all love Kevin to death!

Saturday we woke up and went to Kevin's sisters' graduation at The University of Alabama. Even though it killed Kevin to be there because its Alabama, we had a great time! I'm so proud of his sisters! We had lunch and dinner with them and family as well. And Kevin and I got them GPS units for graduation. They were super excited! They'll need those since they are moving to the great state of Texas but dont know their way around!!

Sunday we had another shower, but this time with some of Kevin's family. Again it was a great shower and great to meet more people!!

Today I'm picking up my wedding dress and picking out my veil and shoes! I'm SOOOOOOOOOO flipping excited, you have no idea!!!! :) til next time....

CRAZINESS

Man! Life has been super duper crazy!!! I've been dealing with crazy people at work and trying to get closings DONE for clients! But it has been pretty stressful! Kevin has been busy at work as well! Also Kevin got his first i-phone app done...and its now ONSALE at itunes. It is called Wedding Date...so GO BUY IT and rate it 5 stars!! :) I'm very proud of him, he did a great job!!

We finished our nearly/newlywed class last week. We really enjoyed it but at the same time glad one less thing is on our plate! We are still in the middle of our premarital counseling though and it is going really well!!

Also a few weeks ago, we put pergo floors in at Kevin's house downstairs. It looks GREAT!!! I really really like it! Here is a pic:

We are leaving on Friday morning at like 6:45 AM!!! AHHH! too early! But we're going there for his sisters' graduation and then we have some showers and stuff for us...it'll be a busy weekend! Well really we are going to have alot of busy weekends coming up. I dont think we have a free weekend for a few months!!

Happy Hours/Dinners GALORE!

So this week has been crazy busy with Kevin and I being SOCIAL!! :) But we love it! On Tuesday we did happy hour with a bunch of our friends, many we haven't seen in a while so it was great to chit chat and catch up with them. We went to Kona Grill at the Domain...love that place!

Right after we got done with happy hour we had our first session with our mentor couple for premarital counseling. It was really good!!

Yesterday it was our friend, Whitney's BIRTHDAY!!!! So we went to happy hour/dinner at Trudy's to help her celebrate!! So fun!

And tonight we are going to the Oasis for Kevin's friend Delvi's Birthday!! Ohhh how I love the Oasis! So we're going to have tonight there and listening to live music!

With all the plans during the week, we have no plans for the weekend yet...but that could be nice just sitting and relaxing! Minus the fact that Kevin has to work until 1pm on Saturday...BOOO!!

Also last weekend I had my sister's first wedding shower at Kevin's place. I think it turned out really well and I hope everyone enjoyed it!!!

Lately....

Sorry i'm not as good about keeping up with this as I use to be!!! My bad! But lately, Kevin and I have just been busy with life! Work has been picking up quite a bit since this new $8k tax credit for new homebuyers!! So thats good for business! I love help people find houses...its great! Kevin's been busy with his new job...it keeps him SUPER busy at work...but he loves every minute of it! He's getting to work with wireless products alll day...its like a kid in a candy shop for him!

Kevin's also starting to be very busy at home working on an iphone application!! So he bought a book and has been study to make his idea even better and hopefully he'll launch it soon and it'll be out for all you iphone users to buy!!! So when Kevin's not at work he's working on creating the next hit for the iphone!! :)

We are still working away at planning the wedding...thankfully we've gotten most of the big stuff done with. We're just working on the details and the smaller things. We also booked out honeymoon FINALLY!!! So i'm super excited about that! We ended up deciding to go to Jamaica at the Sandals Negril. We got an awesome room that is like a cottage and we have our own courtyard with a private pool and jacuzzi! We even have butler service!! We're pumped!! Especially because it is ALL INCLUSIVE!! YAY! So we are reallllly looking forward to all of that after the wedding!

Anyways busy week this week for both us...and i have my sister's shower I'm throwing this weekend at Kevin's house!!! The first shower to kick off the season full of showers for both Ashley and I!!

1 YEAR!!!!!!!!!!

Kevin and I have been together for 1 YEAR NOW!!! On one side I feel like we've been together forever, but on the other I feel like this past year has flown by!!! It has definitely been the best year of my life so far!!!

Bachelor

So every Monday night my roommate, Sarah, and I have "DRAMA NIGHT!!" Every Monday we have the Bachelor, Gossip Girl, and The City on TV. So our shows are fulllll of DRAMA!! :) We really enjoy our drama nights each week. But this week we were mad by the end of it. We have sooo much enjoyed the bachelor this season. Jason was awesome and we REALLY like Melissa and Jillian from the beginning and were rooting for them. So needless to say we were estatic when Jason picked Melissa!! Well until about 5 minutes later when we realized he dumped Melissa and got back with Molly whom he had dumped for Melissa! DRAMA i know! :) So Sarah and I have totally lost respect for this guy. I understand if he know realizes Melissa's not meant for him. But one I dont think he ever really gave it a chance and focused on just her and not Molly. But we were just PO'd that he would dump Melissa on National Television and then 5 minutes later be making out on the couch with Molly!!! I MEAN SERIOUSLY! How rude! Anywho...but now we are excited because at least JILLIAN is going to be the next Bachelorette!!! WHOOHOO! Yay for more DRAMA NIGHTS! :)

Valentine's Day and more....

Things have been pretty busy lately!!

....Valentine's Day was Saturday and Kevin and I really enjoyed our first one together! Earlier in the day we went to Addison's 1st Birthday!! It was super fun and I can't believe she is already a year old!!! Later that night, Kevin and I went to dinner together and had a wonderful time.

....Kevin got a new job a few weeks ago....YAY! well I guess kind of a promotion at National Instruments. He is now working with wireless stuff and he is really enjoying it...but it does keep him busy!!

....Wedding planning is still underway!! We have knocked out the majority of the big stuff...now down to the little stuff. But i'm feeling alot better now that we have gotten alot of stuff out of the way. We got our save the dates in last week, so those should be going out sometime this week....be on the look out!!

25. I'm obsessed with Kelly Clarkson (if ya didn't know), I think she has an amazing voice and is an amazing person!

24. My sister and I use to put on plays for our parents and their friends in the living room. Needless to say, they finally told us to stop.

23. I was totally that kid who cried in elementary when someone else got a better grade than me; man what happened to that person! HA!

22. I dont have a dog of my own living with me at the moment, but since I've been in college i've become aunts to about 4 dogs (Missy, Boo, Cooper, and Tanner). Awwwh I love them!

21. I worked at sonic in high school, and no i didn't wear rollerskates. Well I did once and told my manager that unless he wanted the food all over the ground I wasn't doing that again.

20. Singing is my passion! Anyone who know me when I was younger knows that. Unfortunately I don't sing much anymore, other than with the car radio (and yes at the top of my lungs). But I do love it and in another life, i'd be a singer!

19. I'm a very passionate person. Some people might say I can get obsessed with things, but I love things to the fullest and love doing things to the fullest and I wouldn't want it any other way.

18. I have a Goddaughter named Addison and she turns 1 next month....she is sooo precious...i love her!

17. I'm the pickiest eater you'll probably ever come across.

16. I love the University of Texas and everything about it, I seriously thought when I was younger that I had orange blood, because that is what my mom told me. So I went around and told all of my friends that.

15. I hate being by myself.

13. I love to travel!! I've been to some great places, but there are SOOO many places I still want to go...with Italy being at the top of that list!! Hopefully in the next couple of years I will make that happen!

11. I'm terrible about working out, but right now i'm trying to run 2-3 times a week with Kevin!

10. I love jewelry...especially earrings. I don't think I ever have enough and I always want more!! The bigger the better too!

9. I watch WAY too much television!! Let's see currently I watch....about 8-9 shows a week...ya...it's bad!

8. I love pictures...i think ever since I was a cheerleader in high school...i've just been obsessed with taking pictures all the time with all my friends and such!

6. I HATE driving at night...something about all the lights and it being dark...ugh just hate it.

5. If i couldn't live in Austin anymore, I'd want to move to San Diego...its amazing! But I love austin, so i dont want to leave!

Wedding Planning is Under Way.....

Well things have been busy with wedding planning ALREADY! We got our venues, my wedding dress, a photographer, and a few other things. Kevin and I have a few cake appointments this week, which I know he's excited about!

The New Year, thus far....

So i'm behind as Kevin reminded me yesterday on posting....NYE came and went. We had a lot of fun! Kevin and I went out with some friends to dinner downtown to Iron Cactus. 2008 was probably the best year for me, so I'm sad to see it go...but 2009 should be even better...i'm getting MARRIED!:)

Last weekend was a busy one...my parents came into town last friday and we went a bought my wedding dress :) !! YAY!! I'm way excited about that...then that night kevin and I went to the UT basketball game with my parents and had a great time! Saturday morning we got up bright and early and went and check out a reception site. It went really well, so I am thinking it's the one!! It is going to be good to knock out alot of these big things soon to get a load off of me!

Kevin has also decided to take up golf again. He says it is so he can play with my dad, since he doesn't have any sons. Kevin says he's doing it for me and my dad, but he's doing it for himself, which is good! He even went out and bought some clubs last weekend and played for the first time. He decided he needed to buy some clubs so he's committed to the game. It seems as though he's pretty obsessed with the game right now though....he's always sending me things he thinks he needs to get to help his game...lol!

And last night the Longhorns played in the Fiesta Bowl. We should be in the National Championship Game, but thats another story. The horns about gave me a heart attack...but they pulled it off at the end and came out victorious!! HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!
