Well I am kind of sad to see this 30 days of blogging come to an end!! I have really enjoyed it! How cool for me to end on November 30th with my 30th day of blogging!!! :) Anywho, hopefully this will get me in the habit of blogging more!!!

Day 30-a picture

This is a picture of me and one of my besties, Sarah! We met at the same time Kevin and I met, back in Fall of 2007 in our small group. We ended up living together in August 2008 until I got married! I love this girl to death! We have become great friends over the last few years and she's now kind of our 3rd member of our family!! We love having her over every week to watch Survivor together and eat dinner! She's also my workout buddy too!!

Day 29-3 Wishes

hmmm 3 wishes...let's see...I'll go on the lighter side this time...

1) That Auburn wins the SEC Championship game this weekend so Kevin and I can head to the National Championship Game in January! I know how much this will mean to Kevin!!

2) That 2011 will end up being a better year for my family, especially my parents!

3) That a certain someone will find a special certain someone this next year!! :)

Day 28-Something that stresses you out

hmmm, I just asked Kevin what stresses me out and he said, "PLANNING" and laughed. He means when there isn't a plan. I actually enjoy planning things, but if there isn't a plan I'm stressed out. I stress if Kevin doesn't have a plan for getting things done that need to be done too. I also stress out BIG time if I'm late somewhere. I HATE to be late and would rather be somewhere 15-30 minutes early than late. I guess that can go along with my planning since if I'm late, I'm obviously not following my plan!!

Day 27- Pets

Well I don't have any pets of my own right now :( ! Kevin has promised me that he will get me a dog someday...we'll see if that ever happens. But I am aunt to numerous dogs!!!

This is Boo, and he's Katie's dog. I lived with him for a year and a half and I love him, he's the sweetest boy!!

This is Tanner and Cooper, they are Samantha's dogs. I lived with them for about 6 months and just love them to pieces!!!

And this is Missy, she is Nicole's dog and I lived with her from the beginning of when Nicole got her. We lived together for like 3 years? She's my baby, I miss her!!

I also have 3 other dogs that I guess are technically my nephews, Bentley (Ashley and Patrick's dog), and Julio and Gus (Heather and Holly's dogs) but I don't have any pictures with them!!

I want a dog so bad, can we convince Kevin to make that happen sooner!!???

Day 24-Something you've learned

1)  I've learned that you don't have to settle for a guy; God will bring you the most amazing man for you when the time is right.

2) I've learned that true friends that love unconditionally and selflessly are rare.

3) I've learned that life gets more rewarding as you get older.

4) I've learned that giving is better than receiving.

5) I've learned that life is about serving and making a difference in other people's lives.

6) I've learned that God has a plan for all of us, even if it's not on our time table.

Day 23- Favorite vacation

Well I've been on quite a few awesome vacations, but I would have to say that my honeymoon was by far my FAVORITE VACATION!!! Partly thanks to Kevin's dad who helped pay for part of the honeymoon. We went to Negril, Jamaica and stayed at a Sandals Resort. I think we had the best room on site!! We had a little villa hut thing with our own private pool, outdoor living area, indoor living area, king size bed, jacuzzi tub, huge shower, etc!!

We also had butler service which was AWESOME! We had two butlers that switched off and when we arrived we were given a cell phone to use to call our butler whenever we needed anything! It was an all inclusive resort so everything was included, food and drink wise I guess! They also had free snorkeling, and other water sports. Our butlers saved us beach chairs everyday for us under this awesome hut, and made us dinner reservations every night. They would even decorate our table for us. We could call them at any time and they'd bring us drinks or food or whatever. I think Kevin and I ordered the cheese platter like 2 times a day, everyday. I honestly didn't want to leave there, it was nice to just go and relax. We laid on the beach everyday, sometime fell asleep on the beach. We'd nap everyday, eat all we wanted and just enjoyed ourselves.

I would say the only negatives to the vacation was that the food was so so and the nightly entertainment on site wasn't that great! But I'd live with that to enjoy the relaxation that we had that entire week!!

Us Sad to LEAVE!!

Day 22- Favorite city

That's easy... AUSTIN, TEXAS!!!

I love Austin so much, that is why I had to stay here after college. Even when I was little and we came to Austin for Texas Sporting events, I use to pick out the house I was going to live in on the Lake in Austin. What I love about Austin is one it is VERY laid back. People are easy going and its not a pretentious or stuffy as other cities in Texas, no offense. I love that we have the big city, downtown feel, but also have the hill country and lake. We have the best of both worlds really! I love that the best places to eat around here are local places, not chains! We have GREAT bbq and GREAT mexican food! Of course I also love the convenience of getting to go to Texas sporting events too! If I have any say in the matter, I hope to never leave Austin!

Love these views in Austin!

Day 21- Picture of yourself

There are plenty of pictures on here of me lately...here is one of me when I was little. Not sure what grade this was in, it was before 2nd grade though because I grew my bangs out then.

Day 20- Nicknames

Gosh, I had nicknames more in high school and such, let's see what I can remember.

- Ali
- Alleycat
- Dugger
- Dooger
- Doogie Howser (bc of my last name)
- Water Girl (bc I went there a phase where I drank water sooo much in high school)

That's all I can think of right now!!

Day 19- Something you miss

1) I miss my Grandpa (dad's dad), he died when I was in 3rd grade. I can't believe its been that long, but I recently had a dream about him and him telling me how proud he is of me and everything. It was really special, kind of felt like I was with him again.

2) My Granddaddy (mom's dad). I loved that man to death! He passed away when I was a junior in high school.  He was such a wonderful grandfather. I was really close with him. It was really really hard on me when he died and I miss him so incredibly much.

3) My Grandma (dad's mom). She's the one who just passed away a little over a week ago. She was always so sweet and I have such fond memories of being with her through the years. I am really going to miss her, its still hard to believe that she's gone. But I know she's in heaven and happy to finally see my grandpa after all these years.

Day 18- Something you regret

Honestly I don't have regrets. I think that God has had me go through every experience for a reason. Even when I've made some bad choices, I have learned from them and it has helped me grow as a person. I could always go back in life and say I wish I had done this or I wish I hadn't done this, but in the end I am where I am today because of all those things. As long as I realize where I might have screwed up and taken that as a lesson to learn and grow and ask for God's forgiveness, I have no regrets!

Day 17-Something you're looking forward to

Well this is an EASY one....

ITALY

So Kevin and I are planning to go to Italy in May/June of 2011!!! That was the one place Kevin and have both been wanting to go to. So when we got married we made a plan to go there around our 2nd anniversary and before we thought about having kids. Otherwise we knew we'd keep pushing it back. So we're GOING!!!

So far our plan is to be in Italy for 10 days/9 Nights. 2 nights in Rome, 2 nights in Florence (one day trip to Tuscany), 2 nights in Cinque Terre, 2 nights in Venice, and then back for 1 more night in Rome!! AHHHH I'm sooo excited I can't even stand it!

Of course being the planner I am, I've got lots of ideas and looked into everything, we'll probably be ready to book in the next couple of months everything!!

Look at all these places we're going to go....don't you want to go too???

Day 16- Dream house

Well this is hard for me!! Since I'm in real estate there are sooo many things I've seen and love in houses that I probably would have a different dream house every day. When I was little my dream house was going to be on Lake Austin. I was going to a have a boat dock and a two level pool. Inside my house I wanted a game room and a music studio and the master bedroom was going to be the whole depth of the upstairs of the house.

Now I'm a little bit more knowledgeable about houses so here are a few things I would love to have in a house some day. I would love at least 3000sqft. At least 4 or 5 bedrooms (I always want space for guests, especially once we have kids), an office/study, a game room, media room (I know this is what Kevin would LOVE), formal living room to put a baby grand piano, family room, formal dining room, breakfast area, a nice big kitchen! I love dark wood cabinets and dark wood floors. I want a big island in the kitchen. I would love a pool and a mud room. A really nice back patio with an outdoor kitchen would be awesome. The master bedroom MUST be downstairs. I want a HUGE bathtub in the master bath and a separate shower. A HUGE walk in closet would be fabulous as well for me! 3 car garage! Big backyard!

See I could just go on and on!! As I've learned in real estate you'll never have a house that has every single thing you want in it. The only way to get that is to build your own house, and even then, your taste ends up changing! But this is just a if I could have everything I wanted in a house at this point and time!

Kevin and I went and looked for fun at some homes in a subdivision near ours and I really like the style and floorplan! Here is a picture of the outside, this was the model home so the garage is currently converted to sales office. But you get the point!

And below are pictures of the floorplan!

Day 15- Bible verse

Colossians 3:12-17

"So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone;just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father."

Day 14 - A picture you love

This is probably one of my favorite pictures that Kevin and I have together!

Day 13- Goals

So really these are the only goals I have in life:

1) Strive everyday to live for God in all I do by serving others.

2) Be the best wife I can be.

3) Someday be the best mom I can be.

Day 12- What you believe

I found this on our church's website, and it is a great overview of what I believe...

  • The Bible is the word of God
  • There is one true and living God who exists in 3 persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit
  • God created all things for His glory
  • Men and women were created in the image of God
  • God alone is the architect and finisher of our salvation
  • The Holy Spirit gives gifts to His children
  • The church consists of all who have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for their eternal salvation
  • Heaven and Hell are real places
  • Jesus Christ will one day return to establish His Kingdom
I also believe that God put us here on Earth to serve others and to further his kingdom. We weren't placed here to have a good time and to just do things to make ourselves happy. We were placed here for a purpose to love one another, to help others, to serve others, and to try and make this world a better place; a place full of people living FOR GOD.

We have a wonderful loving God who blesses us everyday. He picks us up when we fall and forgives us when we sin. His Son, Jesus died for us so that all of our sins would be forgiven so we could spend eternity with God.

Grandma

So my 30 days of blogging are going to be on hold for a few day...I found out this morning that my Grandma (my dad's mom) passed away over night. Please be praying for my family during this time. Just remembering today all the good times with her while I was growing up...

Day 10-Something you're afraid of

I'm afraid of the unknown. I worry about the future. I know I shouldn't; I know I just need to trust God and put my faith in Him that things will all work out how they are suppose to. And I do, I know that God is in control and that I don't need to worry. I just do sometimes. I'm such a planner that I just always think about the future or what could happen or what might not happen.

Day 8-A place you've traveled to

SAN DIEGO

I have been to San Diego twice once in the summer of 2000 for our church choir tour! We went to LA and San Diego and this is where I first fell in love with the city! Then I went again in February of 2005 when UT's baseball team was playing San Diego State University. I went with my friends Nicole and Brittney! We had a blast exploring San Diego and La Jolla, a BEAUTIFUL town just north of San Diego! Below are a few pictures I found on my computer from when we went.

This is out on the famous Coronado Island. It is sooo gorgeous out there! This hotel is super nice (and expensive) and is pretty famous and been in numerous movies!

We went up to the top of some hill and took these pictures with amazing views!

Ok so this is honestly probably my favorite spot in the entire world that I have been to so far in my life. Point Loma is a peninsula in San Diego where this is this light house and other things, but they also have these tide pools off the cliff there. You sit literally on the cliff looking out into the Pacific ocean and you watching the waves come crashing in. We went out there and watched the sunset and it was one of the most amazing sites I've ever seen. It made me truly appreciate even more the beauty that God created!

More pictures at the tide pools, man I want to go back there soo bad!

Watching the sun set at the tide pools!

We also went to the little bar that was featured in Top Gun!!! It was where Goose played the piano! The piano was still there and everything!

This picture was taken in Seaport Village. They have tons of shops and restaurants there!

If you haven't been to San Diego, you need to go! Reliving all these memories makes me want to get back there soon too and take Kevin!!

Day 7- Favorite movies

Well I have many FAVORITES!!

But my FAVORITE movie of all time is TITANIC!! I love that movie and could watch any day any time, even though its over 3 hours. I actually first saw it on my birthday, the day after it came out so I had just seen the previews but it wasn't the monster hit yet. And yes I bawled my eyes out!! I have always been fascinated with anything related to Titanic. I actually have a book that has the transcripts from the hearings after it sank, and I could read it any day!! So interesting!!

Next Favorite would have to be The Notebook!! I love every book written by Nicholas Sparks! But this movie is just AMAZING! Still the best movie out of all the ones based on his books. LOVE IT!

I also LOVE Pearl Harbor!! Something about Historical Events mixed with a Fictional love story and I'm hooked!!

I'll limit my favorite movies to 4 today because really I could go on and on and that would just get old! So last, but not least "The Passion of the Christ." This is actually the only movie I've ever seen at the theaters all by myself. At first I was upset because I was suppose to be going with other people and they backed out, but in the end I think I really needed that time to watch and focus on everything in that movie. I think its important for us to visually see an interpretation of what happen to Jesus on the cross to help us understand more what he did for us! Its a hard movie to watch, but I come out of it every time so thankful for Jesus and the sacrifice he made to save me from my sins!

Day 6- A picture of something that makes you happy

I have a few!

The moment Kevin proposed!

This bundle of joy!

When I became Mrs. Kevin Harwood!
