Carter's 4 Months Old

Mr. Carter Anderson is 4 Months Old TODAY!! 

That is crazy! Where have the last 4 months gone? We fall more and more in love with our big guy every day. I just want to say too, that I have the most wonderful husband in the world. I've heard so many stories of dad's that aren't really hands on with babies and Kevin is the complete opposite. We are equal partners in taking care of Carter. Especially when he gets home from work, he takes the lead in entertaining Carter, feeding him and changing his diapers. Thank you hun, you are more appreciated than you know!

Few things about Carter:

*I can roll over now!! I don't like to do it often though, but I roll over when I want. I can roll over from the back to tummy and tummy to back. And I can roll over to the right and to the left now.

*I definitely need more attention now. I am so much more alert and if I see mom or dad aren't paying attention to me, I like to fuss. Not cry, but fuss. Sometimes its hard for mom and dad to get things done when the other isn't around to help out. But we love our little man and just have to plan things out a bit more.

*I still love the car, but I know when the car stops and I dont like it. But as soon as the car starts moving again, I'm good.

*I like to put everything in my mouth. I still get frustrated when everything doesn't fit into my mouth like I want it to.

*I LOVE standing up. If I'm fussy, standing up will make it all better. Mom and Dad help me stand up and I'm so good at putting weight on my legs. Dad even lets me lean on the ottoman and I can stand by myself for a few seconds.

*The swing doesn't cure all things anymore. I constantly want to be doing things.

*I still sleep about 9-9.5 hours at night, but a few times a week I like to wake up in the middle of the night. Sometimes I put myself back to sleep after crying for a bit, but other times mom or dad just need to rock me and I'm back to sleep.

*I fight naps like crazy now. I'm tired but just won't go to sleep sometimes during the day. I tend to take more cat naps than long naps.

He is 16lbs 15 oz which is 85%, and he's 26 1/4 inches long which is 90%.

Carter has the cutest personality and people are so surprised on how chill he is most of the time. His smile brightens my day.

Happy 5th Birthday Addison

I can't believe my sweet God daughter Addison is 5 years old today!! Ohh how time flies! Kevin and I weren't even dating when Addi was born!

Tonight we went to Chuck E Cheese and celebrated!!

Dedicating Carter at Church

We had a great weekend! My parents, Ashley, Heather, and Kevin's dad came into town Saturday! They obviously enjoyed spending time with Carter!! We went out to eat for dinner Saturday night to Matt's El Rancho. YUMMY!

Then on Sunday we had a Parent/Child dedication at church. This is something that was obviously important to Kevin and I. It was a commitment that we will raise our son in the church, be in community with other believers, and continue to pursue the Lord ourselves.

We took a class last month and came up with different commitments that we have in raising our son. Then yesterday we made the commitment in front our church.

I can't wait for the day Carter comes to know the Lord. That will be a special day; I tear up thinking about it!! I can only imagine the great things the Lord has planned for Carter. My prayer is that he is a man after God's own heart and that the Lord uses him to further his kingdom!

Carter's Rolling OVER!!!

Such a proud mommy moment!!! Carter has been toying with rolling over for a couple of weeks now, but its mostly been when he's on his back. He roll onto his side, but never get over that hump. Well last night he rolled over for the first time while on his tummy!!! I was shocked and didnt expect it. And I was bummed I didn't catch it on camera! We tried again all night, but he didn't do it again.

Well this morning, he did it for a 2nd time and I caught it on camera!!



He did it once more after this before he was tired and over it!!

So proud of my big boy...he's growing up so fast!! We gotta watch out for him more now if he's gonna be moving around.
