HAPPY 4th Birthday Addison!!!

Today is my Goddaughter, Addison's 4th Birthday!!! I cannot believe that she is already 4!!  Time has definitely flown by! I love this girl to pieces! Here are a few pictures from her Birthday Party yesterday!

The Valley of Vision- The Great God

So I don't know if you've heard of "The Valley of Vision" but it is a collection of puritan prayers that our pastors talk about at church! They are amazing!! Anywho, last night I was reading a few of them, and this one was sooo powerful to me! I hope you enjoy it!

The Great God

O Fountain of All Good,

Destroy in me every lofty thought,

Break pride to pieces and scatter it to the winds,

Annihilate each clinging shred of self-righteousness,

Implant in me true lowliness of spirit,

Abase me to self-loathing and self-abhorrence,

Holiday Recap- Part II

On the 27th we headed to Birmingham and spent some time with Kevin's friends and family! That evening we did Christmas with his family. That evening we had Harwood Game night! Which is always interesting and LOUD!! hahaha

The next day we drove up to Gasdsen and did Christmas with Kevin's grandparents!! We also went and ate at this pizza buffet place we LOVE!! Sooo good!! That evening Kevin had to hit up Milo's (his favorite burger joint!) And that evening we watched the HORNS when the Holiday Bowl!!

The on the 29th we celebrated KEVIN'S BIRTHDAY!!! Kevin requested Cinnamon Roll pancakes for breakfast, so I woke up early and got that started for him!! Then for lunch we met one of Kevin's friends, Drew for lunch at Momma G's. Their nachos are delicious!! That afternoon we did some shopping to look for stuff to buy with Christmas/Birthday money!

For dinner we went and ate an Italian place Kevin loves and then we headed back to his dad's house were he had a surprise of some of this friends waiting for him there!! Kevin doesn't always get to see his friends much anymore, so some of them came over to help Kevin celebrate his birthday and hang out!!

The next day we flew back to Dallas and then woke up on New Year's Eve and headed back to Austin! We went to the Texas/Rice basketball game that afternoon and then had a low key New Years!

We had a great time, but it was very nice to finally be back home!!

Holiday Recap- Part I

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! We were traveling for over a week, so it was nice to finally get home and get settled once again! We had a wonderful time in DFW for Christmas with my family!!

On the 23rd we had a grandkids sleepover at my grandmother's house with all my cousins! We use to do that alot when we were younger so we thought it would be fun again! We kept to tradition and ordered pizza, had popcorn, sparkling grape juice and watched Mrs. Doubtfire! We also played some games! Overall we had a great time. Poor Kevin though apparently learned he is allergic to cats, because he had a major allergy attack while at my grandmother's around her cats. So unfortunately he had to go to be early to fight it off!!

On the 24th we went back to Irving and had lunch with my parents and Ash & Patrick. We found some really good BBQ place in Oak Cliff that the boys loved! That night we went back over to my grandmothers for Christmas with my mom's side of the family!

After that we went back to my parents and had Christmas with them. (Yes we are one of those families that does gifts on Christmas Eve! Santa use to come while we were at my Grandmothers. Kevin apparently doesn't like this tradition, so we may not be continuing it with our kids someday!)

On Christmas Day we got up and went to church and then had some of our family over!

The next day was my BIRTHDAY! I turned 28 (yikes, that sounds old!)! I decided I'm gonna stay 28 forever!! :) Anyways we started off the day with breakfast and getting some awesome gifts! Then Kevin and I did a little shopping. For lunch we got to go to my favorite Mexican Food place, Don Pablos!! I LOVE IT!! Then that afternoon we bundled up and went to Six Flags for Holiday in the Park! We had such a good time! I had a great birthday! Thanks to everyone who made it special!
