Carter's 5 Months Old

5 MONTHS!!! Crazy Crazy Crazy!

*I'm rolling over all the time now. I  actually prefer to roll from my back to tummy more now than my tummy to back. We had a hard transition for a few days sleeping once I decided to roll over in my crib!

*I don't need a swaddle anymore to sleep at night.

*I like sleeping on my side or tummy now at night.

*I love grabbing and playing with all my toys now. I also want to put them all in my mouth.

*I started enjoying my jumperoo.

*I still love standing standing up with mommy and daddy's help.

*I'm sleeping 10-11 hours at night. Every now and then I'll wake up in the middle of the night because I'm looking around on my tummy.

*I'm still just eating breast milk. Usually 7 ounces every 3 hours during the day.

*I've gotten better at taking naps. Usually I take one after each time I eat. But I only like to sleep 30-45 mins at a time.

*I love spitting now with my lips and blowing bubbles. 

*I love smiling and even laughing more now.

Carter really is such a happy boy!! He's full of life and joy. Kevin and I are sooo blessed.

A Day of Firsts

Today was a special day!! Well for one, Carter had his first plane ride today!! He did GREAT! Our first leg, he slept the whole time. We had a little mishap with changing a diaper in between flights, but other than that, he was so good. His ears didn't even seem to bother him.

But the other reason it was special, was Carter got to meet his only Great-Grandparents today. We've had some heart ache over the last 3 years as 2 of my grandparents and 2 of Kevin's grandparents passed away. We are sad they didn't get to ever meet Carter. But, one set of Kevin's grandparents finally got to meet our special guy today!!  It was a special time!! He showed off alot for them and was such a sweet boy!!

Longhorns

So my mom is now a PUBLISHED Author!! So exciting! She wrote a book, about what else? LONGHORNS! It is part of a series of books written for beginner readers. Its only 7 pages with 50 words and pictures of her ACTUAL longhorns!!

Carter's 4 Months Old

Mr. Carter Anderson is 4 Months Old TODAY!! 

That is crazy! Where have the last 4 months gone? We fall more and more in love with our big guy every day. I just want to say too, that I have the most wonderful husband in the world. I've heard so many stories of dad's that aren't really hands on with babies and Kevin is the complete opposite. We are equal partners in taking care of Carter. Especially when he gets home from work, he takes the lead in entertaining Carter, feeding him and changing his diapers. Thank you hun, you are more appreciated than you know!

Few things about Carter:

*I can roll over now!! I don't like to do it often though, but I roll over when I want. I can roll over from the back to tummy and tummy to back. And I can roll over to the right and to the left now.

*I definitely need more attention now. I am so much more alert and if I see mom or dad aren't paying attention to me, I like to fuss. Not cry, but fuss. Sometimes its hard for mom and dad to get things done when the other isn't around to help out. But we love our little man and just have to plan things out a bit more.

*I still love the car, but I know when the car stops and I dont like it. But as soon as the car starts moving again, I'm good.

*I like to put everything in my mouth. I still get frustrated when everything doesn't fit into my mouth like I want it to.

*I LOVE standing up. If I'm fussy, standing up will make it all better. Mom and Dad help me stand up and I'm so good at putting weight on my legs. Dad even lets me lean on the ottoman and I can stand by myself for a few seconds.

*The swing doesn't cure all things anymore. I constantly want to be doing things.

*I still sleep about 9-9.5 hours at night, but a few times a week I like to wake up in the middle of the night. Sometimes I put myself back to sleep after crying for a bit, but other times mom or dad just need to rock me and I'm back to sleep.

*I fight naps like crazy now. I'm tired but just won't go to sleep sometimes during the day. I tend to take more cat naps than long naps.

He is 16lbs 15 oz which is 85%, and he's 26 1/4 inches long which is 90%.

Carter has the cutest personality and people are so surprised on how chill he is most of the time. His smile brightens my day.

Happy 5th Birthday Addison

I can't believe my sweet God daughter Addison is 5 years old today!! Ohh how time flies! Kevin and I weren't even dating when Addi was born!

Tonight we went to Chuck E Cheese and celebrated!!
