Arbonne

So I've decided to start a new business! Not sure if you've ever heard of Arbonne before, but they make all natural skin care, makeup, and wellness products! Back in 2006, literally right when I graduated college Samantha's friend, Tarrah, came down from Colorado and told us all about Arbonne. Samantha and I decided to try it out and sell it. Well needless to say, I was trying to get my real estate career off the ground and I was just out of college, so it ended up not being the best time to try and do Arbonne. I loved the products though!

So fast forward to February 2011. Samantha's friend Tarrah, is now an Executed National Vice President with Arbonne, basically at the highest level you can get! I won't even tell you how much she makes a month doing this, but let's just say she at one point finally quit her 6 figure income job because she was making at least double doing Arbonne. She convinced Samantha to give Arbonne a chance again. Samantha had a party and talked me into going, even though I was like yah tried that, not going to do that again! But I went and came home contemplating giving this a try again. Kevin of course was very skeptical and wanted me to do some research and come up with a business plan with goals, etc. If you know me, I'm not a numbers type person so it was challenge. In the end, I'm so glad Kevin challenged me to seek answers and learn more about the business model of Arbonne. I know more about the business side of it now than I ever did during the 2 months I sold over 4 years ago. And the company has changed for the better since then as well!

The biggest reason I've decide to give this a go, is the products! Arbonne's products are all natural and vegan-certified. They are also gluten free! Their RE9 Advance anti-aging skin care line is amazing! It help prevents and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles! They also have many new products in their Health and Wellness section! They have everything from vitamins, to supplements, protein shakes, energy drinks, body cleanses, and the list goes on and on! And of course they have makeup!

I'm excited to see where this takes me as I truly believe these products are a step ahead of anything else out there right now! Probably one reason for that is their products are formulated in Switzerland!! Of course I'm still doing real estate, but this is something else I want to embark on and see where it leads me!

Check out Arbonne for yourself and let me know if you have any questions about it!

Texas Basketball

In the middle of the college football season, I made the comment, "Over football season, now on to basketball." Our football team sucked this year so I was ready to move on to watch some Texas Basketball. But this year we have a young team and we weren't even ranked in some pre-season polls. Every year Kevin and I get the mini season pass plan for the basketball games. Essentially we get tickets to 6 games for $10/piece. The seats are up in the mezzanine but we always go down lower after the first TV time out and find great empty seats! This year we even snagged court side seats at two games! Anyways, on Wednesday we went to the Texas/OSU game and my longhorns are proving people wrong this year and are kicking butt!! We are currently UNDEFEATED in Big 12 play!!! Can you believe that?? We've only lost 3 games all season! Currently we are ranked #2/#3 depending on which poll you read! I'm soo proud of our basketball team right now! They are playing some of the best basketball in the country! The only thing thats going to possibly hurt us down the line is our terrible free throw shooting! But I'm excited because if Texas continues to dominate when it comes tournament time, the FINAL FOUR is in HOUSTON this year!! So that means if we make it that far, we are sooo going to find tickets to go!!! WOOHOO!! Anyways, just wanted to give a shout out today to my wonderful basketball team. Thank you for being a bright spot for me after a terrible football season!!

Addison's 3rd Birthday!!

On Sunday was Addison's 3rd Birthday! I can't believe how old she is!! Kevin and I went over to their house before her party and gave her birthday presents. One of them was the Disney princess dress up outfits; apparently she loves it and has been dressing up constantly since! Addison then had her birthday party at a gymnastics gym! The kids had a ton of fun! After the party, Addison got a barbie car from her parents and had a blast with that! Enjoy some pictures!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to the LOVE of my life and my best friend, Kevin!! I love you so much and am so thankful God brought you into my life!

Last night Kevin took me out to dinner for Valentine's Day. He surprised me by taking me to Vince Young's Steakhouse!! Ahhhh!! I was soo excited because we haven't been there yet! It was soo nice inside and the food was amazing! Kevin thinks it might be the best steak he's ever had!

Tonight I'm making a yummy dinner at home for Kevin and I! Can't wait for this work day to be over with so I can celebrate with my love!

Sickness

Man, the last week or so has been tough!! The last week of January Addison was sick with something all week and I was over at their house a lot working on some work tax stuff with Samantha. Next thing you know I have a really bad sore throat for about 3 days. I didn't really feel that bad, just sounded bad! But by late Sunday I wasn't feeling too hot! Monday and Tuesday I was having hot/cold chills, body aches, and fever! In the meantime Addison's twin 6 month old siblings got sick too and they ended up in the emergency room Monday night! The doctors diagnosed them with RSV and they were having trouble breathing and were having coughing fits! It was a tough week for them and their family. They finally got to go home yesterday, so keep them in your prayers! By Wednesday I was feeling a little bit better, just coughing a lot and dealing with so much drainage. I've pretty much stayed that way and am still dealing with that aspect of it! It has NOT been fun at all! Thankfully some how I haven't gotten Kevin sick! I slept in our guest room during the worst of it so hopefully that helped! I am ready for all this junk to be over with!

Lately

Well the first month of the new year has just about come and gone. It has been a crazy busy one for us. Work has been busy for both of us this month to start with! Kevin is still loving his new job of creating mobile applications for companies! Real Estate has actually been busy for me this month, which is odd for a January and we've been dealing with accounting stuff to get 1099s out to property owners. Then of course we went to Glendale for the National Championship Game and had a great time! The next week, Kevin's grandfather passed away so we went to Alabama for 3 days. Then this week, Kevin's great-grandmother passed away. I don't think we're going to be able to go back out to Alabama with Kevin having so little vacation time and the expensive cost of flights! But its been a long and stressful month for us. Pray for Kevin and his family with all the tragedy that him and his family have been dealing with in such a short amount of time!!

Basically I'm ready for February!! Addison turns 3 this month, so we have a fun birthday paryt to attend soon! And of course Valentine's Day is soon. I can't wait to spend it with my hubby!! So here's to hoping that February is less crazy busy and full of good things!!

Prayers

Please pray for Kevin and his family as his grandfather passed away Wednesday night. He had a stroke about a week ago and was really bad at first, but then we thought he was improving, but they it just got bad again. We flew into Alabama yesterday morning to be with everyone. Tonight is the viewing and tomorrow is the funeral. I know that this is a hard time for all of them as this is the first grandparent they have lost.

In addition, their great grandmother is nearing her end as well. She hasn't been in great health for awhile, but she had a bad fall a few weeks back and has been in the hospital ever since. She is to the point where every day she is asking Jesus to take her home. We got the chance to go visit her yesterday and she was talking up a storm, most of which didn't make sense or you couldn't understand and a few times we thought we lost her while we were there. I know that is hard for everyone to see her like this. So just pray for everyone as they are going through a lot of hard times all at once!
