Lately...

Nothing too exciting has been going on lately! Kevin and I have both been very busy with work!!! So any free time we have, we enjoy just relaxing at home!

Last Monday though, a friend, Shauna, asked me to help her out at a golf tournament! It was for this foundation made up of football coaches. They needed us to watch a par 3 in case anyone made a hole in one. If they did, they won a car!! So they needed witnesses to watch for it! No one ended up winning the truck, but we actually had a fun time out there! We enjoyed a free lunch and dinner! The best part though was that Mack Brown was there, Tommy Tubberville, RC Solcum, and a few other former prominent football coaches! Mack gave a speech that night at dinner and again made me realize why I love that guy so much!! He's AWESOME! So it was a fun day!

Last Saturday we went to our friends, Chrissy & Dave's wedding here in Austin! It was a great wedding and we had a fun time! All the wedding festivities were downtown! We feel so old, we haven't been downtown in ages! So it was nice to hang out down there for a while!

Thats pretty much all the excitement going on right now! We're ready for our two trips we have planned later this summer!!

Weekend Fun

This past weekend we had a lot of fun!! On Friday night, Sarah, Kevin and I went to the UT Baseball Game! We won and ending up winning the regional. This coming weekend we play TCU in the Super Regionals and if we win, we're off the OMAHA!!!! I love Omaha, I wish I could go again this year!

On Saturday, Kevin played in a work golf tournament and had a good time! He even won a gift card to Academy! Then Saturday night we had our small group over for GAME NIGHT!!! There was some good food and good fun!! My favorite game of the night was probably Quip It! You should go buy it; it is a great group game!

Then Sunday we went to church, ran errands and laid around!! But Sunday night Kevin took me on a date to Maggiano's in Austin!! We love that place!! It just opened here and they have this awesome deal for $13.95 you get a pasta dish to eat at the restaurant and a dish to take home!! YUMMM, it literally feeds us at least 3-4 meals!

Tonight we have a going away party for our friend Tom at Salt Lick! He's currently the volunteer baseball coach at Texas, but just got a job at Sacramento State for next year!! He will be missed!

Memorial Weekend...the start of Summer

For Memorial Weekend, we went up to Dallas!! On Saturday my cousin Josh graduated from High School...MAN I feel so old!! We had a good time with all my mom's family and went to eat afterwards!! The rest of the weekend we hung out with my parents and Kevin's sisters. It was actually pretty nice and relaxing!! We enjoyed the extra day off!! I'm super jealous of all my friends that are teachers and are now getting off for the summer!! MAN I miss summer breaks!!

We have a couple of trips planned this summer! I think we have two weddings to attend, one here in Austin and another in Little Rock, Arkansas. So in July we'll make a trip out of heading up to Little Rock. Kevin nor I have ever been there so we're going to check out the area and go visit the Clinton Library and other touristy spots.

Then in August we are going to VEGAS for our anniversary!! I'm super excited to get away for that. We are staying at the Trump Hotel and plan to go to a show and stuff, so it'll be fun!!!

Lost Finale

Well Lost has come and gone now!! Last night we had a watching party for the finale with 8 people and TONS of good food!!! We all had such a good time together!! Most people with us last night hated the ending, but after some thought I think I get it! Not all the questions were answered, but I dont think they needed to be. 

I really think Lost will go down as a ground breaking show that was different than anything else ever out there!! It was a fun ride!!

BTW the Target commercials during lost were HILARIOUS!!!!!

Joined a Gym

Well we finally joined a gym!!! Kevin and I have been wanting to work out more and get back into shape! Last week we did a free 7 day trial at Lifetime Fitness, but we just couldn't justify right now spending that much money for a membership. Maybe someday when we are more in a habit of working out. We went by a smaller gym yesterday and checked it out but Kevin wasn't too impressed. So I told him we should go by 24hour Fitness to see if he liked it. After much debate...we SIGNED UP!! YAY! So now I have to get motivated to go work out at least 3 times a week there! Here's to us getting into SHAPE!!

Survivor Finale

So last night we had a Survivor Finale Viewing Party at our house!! This year we drafted players during the first episode! Whoever had the player that won, was deemed the Winner for the Season! We even got a trophy that we're going to pass around each season with whomever wins!! Loads of fun!! Anyways Sarah and I cooked a steam pot for dinner. We had potatoes, corn on the cob, sausage, and shrimp all boiled together in cajun seasoning and we had some garlic cheese biscuits to go along with it! It was really good! Shelby came over too and made us brownies from scratch; they were YUMMY!!! Anyways we had a great time and in the end Kevin's player, Sandra, ended up being the winner for Survivor 20- Heroes vs. Villains! And of course he gloated all night long!! ;) Enjoy our pics!! Chuck E Cheese with Addison

So yesterday Kevin and I went with Addison to Chuck E Cheese!  We had a good time! I think Addison gets a bit overwhelmed by all the things to do there! Of course her favorite part was finally getting to see the "REAL" Chuck E Cheese when he came out! She wanted to give him a high five, and then he started to walk off and she wanted to give him knocks, and then he started to walk off again and she wanted to give him a hug! It was precious!!

I think Beau and Kevin had a fun time using the tokens to play games!! Of course they were doing it to win Addison tickets, but they enjoyed themselves too!!
