Rose Bowl

Well last Thursday we headed to Pasadena, CA to watch our horns in the National Championship Game. Obviously most of you know how that turned out. Unfortunately Colt got hurt at the begining of the game! My heart breaks for him! I know thats not how he wanted his college career to end! He deserved to go out there and play that final game! He is the most upstanding guy you'll ever find! Below is his quote after the game:

"I always give God the glory. I never question why things happen the way they do. I know God is in control of my life, and I also know, if nothing else, that I’m standing on the rock."

I am soo honored and thankful that he was our quarterback at The University of Texas.

I am super proud of the team for going out there and never giving up. Garrett was amazing! To go out there as a true freshman with not much game time experience on the biggest stage possible! WOW! Props to him, he almost led our team back!

New Car

White Christmas!

Sorry for being behind...

Man, we had an eventful holiday season!!!! We left for Alabama on the 19th and stayed until the 22nd. We then were in Dallas from the 22nd-27th. We had a great time with all of our family, but it was nice to finally be home on the 27th!!

In Dallas it snowed on Christmas Eve and gave us a beautiful white Christmas! We were very excited!!!!

New Years was fun; we had a little get together at house with some friends! A great way to ring in the new year!!!!

December 13th

So a year ago today, we got engaged!!!!! It was the most magical night and ranks as the 2nd best day of our lives, obviously the 1st is our WEDDING DAY! It has been fun today to reminisce about this day last year!!! Here are some pics to remember that wonderful day!!!

A Tribute to 2005....

This still give me chills and makes me cry!!! This also reminds me of another time people said Texas had no shot at the National Championship and guess what happened, we WON!!! I'm so ready to prove everyone wrong!! :)

Headed to Pasadena

So my whole family went to the Big 12 Championship game last Saturday! Let's just say I was nervous before the game...I just had a feeling it wasn't going to go right. So needless to say I was in a pretty bad mood the whole game...When we finally won in the last second all I could do was cry!! Thank goodness I didn't have to cancel my trip to Pasadena....thank goodness I could go and watch Texas win a National Championship!! I didn't get to go in 2005 and so I HAD to go this year! I've seen Texas Baseball win a National Championship in person, so now it's time for me to see a Texas Football Championship!!

This next month should be interesting! All of Kevin's family are Alabama fans. So I'm sure I'll be hearing all kinds of trash talk! But I'm just going to let the players do the talking on the field January 7th! Hook 'em Horns!!!

Christmas at the Harwoods!!!

So we decorated the house finally for Christmas!! I love this time of the year! Kevin put the lights outside the house too, i'll have to get pictures of that soon as well!! We drank hot chocolate on Sunday and decorated the house and the tree!! We are starting to just watch TV downstairs at night to enjoy the tree and lights instead of watching up in the loft!
