Well last Thursday, I woke up BRIGHT and EARLY and headed to LAS VEGAS!! I was there for Arbonne's annual Global Training Conference. This was the first time I had attended GTC and man was it an amazing weekend! I always knew Arbonne made great products and was a wonderful company, but this weekend it became further proof! I'm so excited where this company is headed and I'm glad I am apart of it.
Few cool highlights of things they announced:

I believe we are the first company to get that designation! AND on several of our product lines they have updated the containers the products come in to make them more earth friendly. They are now 90-100% recyclable!

We are so excited for Baby Harwood to be here! Thank you all for your sweet calls, comments, and messages over the last week!
I feel like there is so much I want to go ahead and start doing and planning and such, but I feel like I need to wait until we know if we are having a little girl or boy!
Last week at our doctor's appointment, the sonogram technician told us she's 80% sure of what we are having! Crazy at 12 weeks they can tell that! I won't spill the beans yet on what she said. We want to wait and make sure its true before telling everyone!
We already have a girl and boy name picked out and once we know for sure what we are having, then we'll share!
I'm ready to start planning a nursery and registering!! It can't come soon enough! I'm such a planner, so I'm ready to jump into all that, but right now we have to sit back and wait!
Kevin and I have been doing somewhat of a "spring cleaning" around the house! Its actually kind of a disaster zone right now! We are going through everything and getting rid of just a bunch of crap! And trying to rearrange and move stuff out of the bedroom that will be the baby's. So I'm ready for that to be done!
But Kevin and I are enjoying these last few months of it just being us! Yesterday after church and lunch, we came home and napped and then just laid in bed the rest of the day and watched TV. It was WONDERFUL! I know we don't have many of those days left, so we are taking advantage of them while we can!
Feel free to check out our latest sonogram of Baby Harwood!
Its definitely been hard to hold it in for awhile, but Kevin and I will be bringing a little one into the world in October 2012! I'm not the most creative person in the world, so I didn't come up with any cute way to tell everyone. Just thought I'd come out and say it!
We went to the doctor today for my 12 week appointment and decided that it was time to tell the world!
Kevin and I found out in February and were so excited; we had been waiting for that day!! We wanted to tell our family in person (if we could, sorry Alabama peeps!) So it was hard not to call everyone immediately and let them know! So we had to wait a couple of weeks until we saw my parents and our siblings. And I didn't want to get ahead of myself and tell a bunch of people in case something happened. But we are to 12 1/2 weeks and everything is looking really good so far!
Honestly I have had a pretty easy pregnancy up to date! Only one day of getting sick! Mostly I've just gotten bad headaches and many times food just in general sounds bad and nothing tastes good. On those days, Jamba Juice has gotten me through the day!!
Today seeing our little one made me tear up a bit. It actually looks like a baby now! It was more of a blob before at our 6 week and 8 week appointments. And we got to hear the heart beat today for the first time which was really cool! The baby was just chillin', moving around and such. It even looked like it was sucking its thumb some!
It is just so crazy to think I have a little life growing inside of me. Most of the time I don't feel much different, other than my growing waist. But every time I see the baby, it just amazes me. God is so incredible in how he makes us all. And it truly makes me even more in awe of Him.
We are so thankful God has blessed us with this little miracle and we couldn't be happier!!
Sunday was an amazing Easter celebrating Christ's conquer of death! Our church gathered for the 2nd year at the Frank Erwin Center (UT's basketball arena) and we have around 13,000 people come and celebrate Christ and what he did for us!
"For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps. Who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in his mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls." 1 Peter 2: 21-25
We live in Austin and absolutely love it here!
Alicean grew up outside of Dallas, Texas and couldn't wait until she finally got to go to college at The University of Texas. After graduation, she couldn't think of leaving Austin!!
Kevin grew up near Birmingham, Alabama and went to Auburn University. After graduation he moved out to Austin, Texas for a job at National Instruments. A little over a month later, he met Alicean in a church small group! After being friends for about 6 months, they finally starting dating in March 2008. And on December 13, 2008, they got engaged! And were later married on August 8, 2009!
Alicean is a Real Estate agent and does sales and leasing for StoneHaven Realty. Kevin now works for Mutual Mobile where he is an iOS Architect. Basically he makes iphone/ipad apps for a living.
In October 2012, we welcomed our first child, Carter Anderson Harwood. And in November 2014, we are having our second little boy, Blake Porter Harwood.
