Day 10-Something you're afraid of

I'm afraid of the unknown. I worry about the future. I know I shouldn't; I know I just need to trust God and put my faith in Him that things will all work out how they are suppose to. And I do, I know that God is in control and that I don't need to worry. I just do sometimes. I'm such a planner that I just always think about the future or what could happen or what might not happen.

Day 8-A place you've traveled to

SAN DIEGO

I have been to San Diego twice once in the summer of 2000 for our church choir tour! We went to LA and San Diego and this is where I first fell in love with the city! Then I went again in February of 2005 when UT's baseball team was playing San Diego State University. I went with my friends Nicole and Brittney! We had a blast exploring San Diego and La Jolla, a BEAUTIFUL town just north of San Diego! Below are a few pictures I found on my computer from when we went.

This is out on the famous Coronado Island. It is sooo gorgeous out there! This hotel is super nice (and expensive) and is pretty famous and been in numerous movies!

We went up to the top of some hill and took these pictures with amazing views!

Ok so this is honestly probably my favorite spot in the entire world that I have been to so far in my life. Point Loma is a peninsula in San Diego where this is this light house and other things, but they also have these tide pools off the cliff there. You sit literally on the cliff looking out into the Pacific ocean and you watching the waves come crashing in. We went out there and watched the sunset and it was one of the most amazing sites I've ever seen. It made me truly appreciate even more the beauty that God created!

More pictures at the tide pools, man I want to go back there soo bad!

Watching the sun set at the tide pools!

We also went to the little bar that was featured in Top Gun!!! It was where Goose played the piano! The piano was still there and everything!

This picture was taken in Seaport Village. They have tons of shops and restaurants there!

If you haven't been to San Diego, you need to go! Reliving all these memories makes me want to get back there soon too and take Kevin!!

Day 7- Favorite movies

Well I have many FAVORITES!!

But my FAVORITE movie of all time is TITANIC!! I love that movie and could watch any day any time, even though its over 3 hours. I actually first saw it on my birthday, the day after it came out so I had just seen the previews but it wasn't the monster hit yet. And yes I bawled my eyes out!! I have always been fascinated with anything related to Titanic. I actually have a book that has the transcripts from the hearings after it sank, and I could read it any day!! So interesting!!

Next Favorite would have to be The Notebook!! I love every book written by Nicholas Sparks! But this movie is just AMAZING! Still the best movie out of all the ones based on his books. LOVE IT!

I also LOVE Pearl Harbor!! Something about Historical Events mixed with a Fictional love story and I'm hooked!!

I'll limit my favorite movies to 4 today because really I could go on and on and that would just get old! So last, but not least "The Passion of the Christ." This is actually the only movie I've ever seen at the theaters all by myself. At first I was upset because I was suppose to be going with other people and they backed out, but in the end I think I really needed that time to watch and focus on everything in that movie. I think its important for us to visually see an interpretation of what happen to Jesus on the cross to help us understand more what he did for us! Its a hard movie to watch, but I come out of it every time so thankful for Jesus and the sacrifice he made to save me from my sins!

Day 5- Your Siblings

Today is about my siblings!! Well when I was 3 1/2 years old I was blessed with a little sister, Ashley Elise! That little girl was the spunkiest little thing you could ever imagine. I dont think she ever really sat still when she was little; just always bouncing around. We had fun growing up singing in the living room, putting on plays, dressing up, playing Barbies, and pretending to be cheerleaders in the front yard! We definitely had our quarrels though! Ashley was in drill team in high school and then went to UT and graduate with a degree in elementary education. She is now married and is a first grade teacher in Irving!!

I also have 4 new siblings!! Holly, Heather, and Chase are Kevin's siblings and Patrick is Ashley's husband! I have enjoyed gaining new siblings through marriage!!

Holly and Heather are teachers in Irving! I am so glad they ended up moving to Dallas and are closer to us!! They are the two best sister-in-laws I could ask for!! Chase is 17 and a junior in high school in Alabama!! Chase is awesome and so funny!! I just need him to move out to Texas as soon as possible so he can be closer to us!! And Patrick is Ashley's husband and he's been around for quite some time (they started dating back when my sister was 14). He graduate from UT and is now in dental school in Dallas!!

Day 4- Your Parents

So today is about my parents!! Neil and Paula Dugger are my parents!! An interesting fact about them is they both go by their middle names. My dad's full name is Harry Neil Dugger and my mom's is Lydia Paulette "Anderson" Dugger. My parents met back in like 1981 while they were both teaching at Nimitz High School in Irving. They dated about 3 months, got engaged, and were married 6 months later!!

My dad grew up in Temple, Texas and went to Angelo State University. He said he always planned to go to The University of Texas but was going to transfer in after starting out at Angelo State. He says he has always been a UT fan, but we still tease him that he's the only one in the family that didn't graduate from there! My dad also got his master's and doctorate degree from North Texas! My dad has a love for golf! He's actually a really good golfer! My dad also has a love for history which he's passed down to me! He especially loves anything about Texas History!! John Wayne's "The Alamo" is his favorite movie!! Growing up we'd go on vacation to places and we'd always have a history lesson from my dad about where we were! He started out teaching history after he graduated college. He eventually became and vice principle and worked his way up to where now he is the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel in Irving!

My mom grew up in Vernon, Texas and moved to Ft. Worth in middle school! She graduated from The University of Texas with a bachelor's and master's degree! She was a reading teacher/specialist most of her career but is now the reading coordinator for the district in Irving. My mom loves anything related to UT, she bleeds orange through and through! Both of my parents also LOVE their ranch! They bought a 28 acre ranch about 14-15 years ago. They planned to just get a couple of acres so my mom could have one longhorn steer! Well they ended up with 28 acres and have probably almost 20 longhorns now!! Those longhorns are my mom's babies!!

My parents have been married for 28 years and counting! They are each other's best friends and been a great example to me on what marriage looks like!!
