Few things....

1. If you love the Melting Pot, you need to go ASAP!! We went last Thursday when we had a groupon to use and they have a French Big Night Out going on right now. We didn't partake in most of the French stuff, but we did try the chocolate fondue they had for it. It was Creme Brulee, and omg it was one of the most amazing things I've had in a long time!! And I love most of the chocolate fondues at the Melting Pot, but this one is above and beyond all the others. It is a white chocolate with caramelized sugar!! Go check it out!

2. Well Texas pretty much has sucked it up this season in Football. I still love my Horns, but this just isn't our year! Thankfully I married Kevin who loves Auburn, so I have a team to get excited about this year! It is so funny how our teams flip flopped this year! Rankings came out yesterday and Auburn is now ranked #1 in the BCS poll!! WHOOHOO! And they are lead by Heisman front runner, Cameron Newton!

3. Kevin has a NEW JOB!!! He starts on November 15th, but he'll be working full time as a Senior Mobile Developer! So he'll be making apps for the iPhone and Android all day everyday!! I'm soo excited for him as I know this is something he's truly going to enjoy! It was really hard to decide to leave National Instruments where he's at now, but we're excited about this new endeavor!

4. Tonight we're hosting about 16 people at our house for dinner. We're having new people that have started helping out at our church in the AVLC (tech)! Kevin is one of the head producers so we're having people over to thank them and to help everyone get to know each other!! Soo please wish me luck!! I dont know if I've ever cooked a FULL meal for 16, so pray for me!! I'm making chicken parmesan, spaghetti, cheese stuff shells, salad, bread, and a twist on cannoli's for dessert!!

State Fair

Last weekend Kevin and I went up to Dallas and went to the State Fair of Texas!! I love the fair!! I have been going since I was a little kid and we got free tickets at school and got the day off to just go to the Fair!! As I've gotten older, I usually hit up the fair during the TX/OU Game!! Well this year, we didn't go to the game, so Kevin and I decided to come up and go some other time!!

We had a great time checking out the dog trick show, the auto show, etc. But of course our favorite part was the FOOD!!! Where else do you get super excited about the most unhealthy foods??

We tried....

Fried Lemonade!! It was pretty good, tasted like a lemon cake with lemon icing!

Fried Smores!! MY FAVORITE!!! It really is the best thing there!! If you've never had it, TRY IT!

Fried Butter!! Sooo good too! This year they had a new topping for it, cinnamon/sugar with honey. Wow honestly i think that made it even better than last year! I think it kind of tasted like a sopapilla with extra butter.

Fried Cheesecake! It was pretty good too!!

Kevin also had a Fletcher's Corny Dog, I had some nachos, and we topped it off with Ice Cold, Pure Cane Sugar Root Beer!!

Lately...

Nothing too exciting has been going on in our lives lately. We've mostly just been working and spending time at home!! The last two weekends have been nice to just hang around the house and watch football, besides the fact that Texas Football has gone down hill the last two weeks! But Auburn has been going up hill, so its been exciting for Kevin. Auburn is now ranked #8 in the nation!!

Our weeks are usually the same, with random things put in between!! On Sundays of course, we are at church in the morning, at our new St. Johns Campus! Kevin produces both services in the morning, so I serve on the Welcome Team during the 9:15 service, and attend the 11:15 service. This campus is amazing and has amazing things in store, it is an exciting time there!!

Mondays we are trying to go to the gym after work and then spend time with each other at home. On Tuesdays we meet with our Missional Community Group. We have about 7 couples that are in our group. It has been such a blessing to get to know these guys over the last year and spend time with them growing to be more like Christ! Its a great time to challenge each other and see what God is showing us what our life looks like in His plan!

On Wednesdays we try and hit up the gym again, and then our 3rd family member, Sarah, comes over and we eat dinner together and watch SURVIVOR! We have a little draft every year with the players, so we have a fun time watching each season!! Basically Sarah and I are just hoping Kevin loses so ego doesn't continue to grow!! :)

Thursdays we again try to go to the gym. You like how I always say, we TRY to go to the gym!! We really are trying to make it a priority in our lives and get in a routine of being healthy and trying to stay in shape!! Sometimes its hard, but we're trying!! And then the rest of Thursday we usually spend time together with each other at home!!

That is pretty much what are weeks look like unless we have other random things come up!!

This weekend we are planning on going to Dallas to go to the State Fair! Kevin has only been once and that was last year when we went during the TX/OU game. But he wanted to go sometime when the game wasn't going on and it wasn't as crowded! So we're excited to spend the day there on Saturday and trying FRIED FOOD!!

Weekend in Auburn

Last weekend we flew out to Alabama!! On Friday it was Kevin's brother, Chase's 17th Birthday! We were excited to be in town to celebrate with him! On Saturday morning we got up early and drove down to Auburn!! I was excited to see more of the town and campus than I did on my first trip!! We tailgated with some family friends of Kevins. We had a great time! That night we went to the Auburn/Clemson game!! It came down to the bitter end, but Auburn pulled through and came out with a victory!! I'm soo relieved that they won because I was afraid that I was never going to be allowed to go to an Auburn game again, since the only other one I had been to they had lost!! BUT THEY WON!! WHOOHOO!

Sunday I drove back to Birmingham with Kevin's dad and flew out Monday morning. Kevin is still down there recruiting for work!! I can't wait for him to be home!!!! Enjoy some pictures below!!

This is a picture of Tiger Walk! 2 hours before every game they have "Tiger Walk" where fans line the street headed to the stadium, and the players and coaches walk through them!

After an Auburn Victory, students roll Toomer's Corner!
