Lately...

Nothing too exciting has been going on in our lives lately. We've mostly just been working and spending time at home!! The last two weekends have been nice to just hang around the house and watch football, besides the fact that Texas Football has gone down hill the last two weeks! But Auburn has been going up hill, so its been exciting for Kevin. Auburn is now ranked #8 in the nation!!

Our weeks are usually the same, with random things put in between!! On Sundays of course, we are at church in the morning, at our new St. Johns Campus! Kevin produces both services in the morning, so I serve on the Welcome Team during the 9:15 service, and attend the 11:15 service. This campus is amazing and has amazing things in store, it is an exciting time there!!

Mondays we are trying to go to the gym after work and then spend time with each other at home. On Tuesdays we meet with our Missional Community Group. We have about 7 couples that are in our group. It has been such a blessing to get to know these guys over the last year and spend time with them growing to be more like Christ! Its a great time to challenge each other and see what God is showing us what our life looks like in His plan!

On Wednesdays we try and hit up the gym again, and then our 3rd family member, Sarah, comes over and we eat dinner together and watch SURVIVOR! We have a little draft every year with the players, so we have a fun time watching each season!! Basically Sarah and I are just hoping Kevin loses so ego doesn't continue to grow!! :)

Thursdays we again try to go to the gym. You like how I always say, we TRY to go to the gym!! We really are trying to make it a priority in our lives and get in a routine of being healthy and trying to stay in shape!! Sometimes its hard, but we're trying!! And then the rest of Thursday we usually spend time together with each other at home!!

That is pretty much what are weeks look like unless we have other random things come up!!

This weekend we are planning on going to Dallas to go to the State Fair! Kevin has only been once and that was last year when we went during the TX/OU game. But he wanted to go sometime when the game wasn't going on and it wasn't as crowded! So we're excited to spend the day there on Saturday and trying FRIED FOOD!!

Weekend in Auburn

Last weekend we flew out to Alabama!! On Friday it was Kevin's brother, Chase's 17th Birthday! We were excited to be in town to celebrate with him! On Saturday morning we got up early and drove down to Auburn!! I was excited to see more of the town and campus than I did on my first trip!! We tailgated with some family friends of Kevins. We had a great time! That night we went to the Auburn/Clemson game!! It came down to the bitter end, but Auburn pulled through and came out with a victory!! I'm soo relieved that they won because I was afraid that I was never going to be allowed to go to an Auburn game again, since the only other one I had been to they had lost!! BUT THEY WON!! WHOOHOO!

Sunday I drove back to Birmingham with Kevin's dad and flew out Monday morning. Kevin is still down there recruiting for work!! I can't wait for him to be home!!!! Enjoy some pictures below!!

This is a picture of Tiger Walk! 2 hours before every game they have "Tiger Walk" where fans line the street headed to the stadium, and the players and coaches walk through them!

Our Day With Addison

So on Saturday Kevin and I took Addison out to give her a little attention since the babies came! We had so much fun together! I just can't get over how well she talks and communicates with us! And she's sooo smart! We started out the day by going to this train! It is called Cedar Rock Train and it is off 1431 in between Round Rock and Cedar Park. It is a little of a mile track and it was a lot of fun for kids! We then went and picked up McDonalds for lunch and Addison was excited to get an Alice doll from Alice in Wonderland in her Happy Meal! We then went to the pool for awhile and then hit up the playground! Kevin and I enjoyed our time with Addison and I think she did too :) !!

1st Anniversary!!

Well Sunday came and went and now Kevin and I have been married for a YEAR!! It seems like it went by soo quickly but at the same time I feel like we've been married forever!! This past year really has been the best year of my life!! I dont know what my life would be like without him!

So for our anniversary we decided to go on a trip to VEGAS!!! On Saturday night before we left, we had dinner and cake from our wedding and watch our wedding DVD!! It was great to remember that wonderful day! We also opened gifts we got each other!

Then Sunday we headed out bright and early to fly to Vegas. We got in town around 8:45am! We stayed at the Trump International Hotel! We loved it!! The hotel was very nice and we loved our room, which also had a great view of the Strip! Next time though I think we decided we'd rather be more central on the strip! After we dropped our stuff off at the hotel we headed to the Bellagio and hit up the Champagne Brunch Buffet! OOOOOH was it good! I started out with breakfast, went to lunch and then dessert! After that we just walked around for a bit and checked out stuff.

That night we got all dressed up and had dinner for our anniversary at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. We really enjoyed it. The Restaurant overlooked the Bellagio Fountains, so it was neat to watch that while we ate! Afterwards we went at saw the show Le Reve at the Wynn Hotel. I thought it was great! The only bad part was the show started at 9:30pm, which to us felt like 11:30pm and needless to say I was really tired!! I might have dozed off a few times! But it really was a great show!

Monday we just hung out and went around the strip! We ate lunch at the Rio Buffet, went to the wax museum and many other fun things! That night we ate a Tao, a fabulous restaurant at the Venetian ( MY FAVORITE HOTEL!) That night we watch the Pirate Show at Treasure Island, and watch the Volcano erupt at Mirage. Then ended the night down on Freemont Street and had a wonderful time!!

Tuesday we went and did a few things before our flight left, but we had a such a fun time and it was really nice to be able to just get away for a bit!!
